I am a third-year law student at SMU. After seeing how college campuses have become targets for violence, I decided to pursue a concealed carry license to provide the option to defend myself in the case that something similar happened at my school. In studying Constitutional law in school, I became interested in helping realize our Constitutional, personal right, to carry firearms and defend ourselves regardless of our location. The SMU chapter of the SCCC is in its beginning stages, but hopefully we can be a beacon in a more liberal leaning city.
